Primesight has today announced it will take over the airport advertising contract for Southampton Airport - the final airport to form part of the AGS contract awarded in November 2017 which also includes Glasgow and Aberdeen airports.
The five-year contract includes plans to invest £1.5 million across all three airport sites, to go towards upgrading the digital estate and introducing new sites.
Southampton airport welcomed over 2 million passengers in 2017 - a 6.3% increase from 2016.
Angus McIntyre, Head of Commercial at Southampton said: “Advertising plays a significant role in our airports and is an important part of our business proposition. We are very much looking forward to working with Primesight to deliver advertising campaigns for the 2 million national and regional passengers travelling through Southampton every year.”
The wins put Primesight firmly in the position of number one out of home media owner for airports, reaching 48.3% of UK airport audiences across its whole portfolio, helping brands reach a valuable domestic audience of more than 137 million passengers.
Sarah Parkes, Director of Delivery and Partner Management said: “We are delighted to welcome Southampton International Airport to our Primesight portfolio. The addition of Southampton, with more than 2 million passengers each year, further cements our #1 position in UK Airport Advertising and offers brands a greater opportunity to target a receptive airport audience with creative campaigns”.
