A UK wide Digital Outdoor initiative launched by Kate McCann to help find vulnerable missing people has this week reached a milestone with 100 people found safe and well. The partnership between the charity Missing People, the Outdoor Media Centre and Grand Visual, launched Weekly Appeals in July last year in what was the largest Digital billboard campaign in British history, with more than £10m media value donated pro bono.
The nationwide Weekly Appeals provide photos and details of individual missing people using advertising space donated by members of the Outdoor Media Centre. The charity centrally controls the campaign and regionally targets appeals based on the person's last known whereabouts using the campaign management dashboard OpenLoop.
To date more than 270 appeals have been published by the partnership. The campaign appears on a network of nationwide Digital Billboards donated by members of the Outdoor Media Centre, including Primesight.
