BBC Radio 6 Music announces its line-up for Feb-March Festival on one of Primesight's iconic panels

Buzzing atmosphere at Primesight's iconic Backlight 96 sheet site on Albion Street in the city centre of Manchester: A semi-completed billboard of BBC Radio 6 Music Festival, an artist on a stand, names of acts appearing one by one 'out of the hands' of the artist to announce their participation in the festival...

On 21st January Primesight teamed up with BBC 6 Music, MEC Manchester and Kinetic UK to promote a unique Out of Home and broadcast event for the three-day opening festival that will feature a major line-up of thirty artists including HAIM, Franz Ferdinand, Jake Bugg and Gilles Peterson. As the BBC 6 Music team unveiled the acts live on air from Manchester Piccadilly Records, a local street artist was on site at our Backlight 96 sheet, spray-painting the billboard with the names of the featured artists.

Maximum exposure was achieved through this unique combination of artistic talent, digital technologies and a strategic selection of advertising vehicles. Furthermore, the ˜real time™ element of announcing and spray-painting the billboard contributed significantly to creating the essential buzz around the line-up and the upcoming festival, thereby redefining the boundaries of combining outdoor advertising with other media to deliver the anticipated campaign results in an innovative way that would excite the audience
