01.11.07 PRIMESIGHT ‘VUETOOTH’ SUCCESS
‘Vuetooth’ - the new Bluetooth service launched by Primesight, in partnership with Pearl & Dean Cinema Advertising - is generating impressive results for its clients, with two successful campaigns completed and a number of others in the pipeline.
‘Vuetooth’ is available throughout 55 Vue cinema foyers nationwide and has been successfully used by a number of clients since its launch. Most recently it delivered an impressive of 22,779 downloads across two x two-week periods for the Royal Air Force (RAF)/Central Office of Information (COI).
‘Vuetooth’ is designed to compliment existing six-sheet advertising panels and provides brands with the opportunity to target consumers with relevant downloadable content; in this case a free video clip of RAF servicemen in action.
The downloads give clients a unique opportunity to interact with potential consumers on their terms as people actually ‘opt’ to receive the information; effectively turning a passive medium into an interactive one.
The use of cutting edge technology means that only one unit is needed to cover a whole cinema foyer, making it ideal for delivering content such as games, video clips or ringtones to an audience who are out to be entertained.
David Ogden from the RAF Marketing team comments:
"Using this latest Bluetooth technology positions the RAF as a forward looking organisation within the minds of the target audience. The results so far have been incredibly encouraging and confirms the content is being delivered in a highly engaging way."
Rob Doel, Head of Primesight innovations comments:
“We see Bluetooth being a fundamental part of our Cinema offering, both now and in the future. For the right brand our Cinema poster network is perfect at speaking to a core youth audience. Bluetooth allows us to take the next step and create interactivity and brand involvement in a language they understand.”
