Primesight creates 'Head of Sales’ role ahead of the LinkUK launch this summer

Primesight today announced that James Power will become their first Head of Sales to lead all sales activity ahead of the integration of the ST6 and BT payphone contract and the launch of LinkUK later this year as part of Primesight's joint venture with Intersection.

In addition to the 17,500 payphones and 750 ST6s, the joint venture between Primesight and Intersection, in partnership with BT, will be bringing free 1 GB wi-fi and free calls to London and cities across the UK by replacing traditional phone boxes with sleek, modern, multi-function units.

James is being promoted from Business Director at Primesight, a role that he has held since May 2016. Previously, James has also worked on the BT contract for StreetTalk at JCDecaux for five years. He has over 15 years' experience in advertising sales roles, of which the last nine have been in director-level positions at companies such as JCDecaux, Imagine Publishing and Digicom OOH.

James will be reporting directly to Matt Teeman, Managing Director, Primesight.

Matt Teeman, Managing Director at Primesight said: "James' is the first of several sales roles that we will be adding to this growing team. The joint venture launch of LinkUK and the addition of BT payphones and ST6s will see a seismic shift both in the capability and coverage of our portfolio. We want agencies and brands to take advantage of the huge opportunities that these products will create to reach desirable audiences. James has a wealth of experience and we’ve promoted him to lead the conversation with commercial partners on the potential these ventures bring."

James Power, Head of Sales, said: "It's an exciting time to be at a company that is expanding its coverage of the UK with the addition of BT payphones and working on innovative initiatives such as LinkUK as part of our joint venture with Intersection, as the industry evolves its use of technology. Out-of-home advertising spend continues to grow and LinkUK represents a step change in the type of smart and memorable products outdoor media can offer brands. I look forward to working closely with our commercial partners to bring these products to life for the industry."
