Our credentials include:

General recycling
1. 100% of our paper posters are recycled
2. A growing number of posters are passed to nurseries for children to use
3. We actively recycle in order to comply with the WEEE Directive
4. We have recycling points at each of our depots, for paper, glass, tubes
plastic & metal

Backlight (PVC) skins
We currently use 2 billposting firms for our backlight posting.  One of them recycles 100% of the skins, the other currently recycles 80%.

We have an agreement with a national waster carrier to recycle any skins that are unused.

Vehicles
All company vehicles run on diesel as a minimum (moving to hybrid where appropriate).

Electrical
All our lamps/tubes are controlled by advanced electronic ballasts. These ballasts use solid-state electronic circuitry to provide the proper starting and operating electrical condition to power them.  This controls the flow of electricity and reduces consumption of power to get the same net illuminated effect thus reducing electrical waste.

Water
Only deionised water is used when cleaning our sites. This type of water lacks ions, such as cations (positive charges) from sodium, calcium, iron, copper and anions (negative charges) such as bromide and chloride. This purified form of water means we use approximately 30% less than the normal amount required. This allows a quicker drying process without leaving any spots whilst also omitting the need for additional detergents.

Carbon footprint
We are proactively recording information relating to our carbon footprint and are in discussions with the Carbon Trust.
